Game sidereal_rp Canon Details Astrid is being taken from the end of the third film, but still a good ten years or so before the epilogue. She is newly married and Chieftess of New Berk. Character Details Age 22 Hair/Eyes Blonde and blue-eyed Height/Weight 5’9, slender Notable Traits Physically very fit, assorted scars, often wears elaborate braids 15 Second Summary Astrid is a young Viking who went from dragon-fighter to dragon-rider in the space of about a week. She’s an excellent warrior who is in charge of her village’s defenses and always welcomes a challenge. She has a very strong sense of duty and will never hesitate to do what she feels needs to be done, regardless of the risk to herself. Smart, stubborn and difficult to impress, she serves as the blunt voice of reason that balances out Hiccup’s flights of fancy. Canon defines her as “beautiful despite herself” -- she knows she’s pretty, but she doesn’t particularly like it being commented on, having long worried people will overlook her abilities because of it. Always looking to prove herself, she doesn’t take well to being idle. Abilities & Permissions Abilities Astrid is the best warrior among her people, and she worked hard to get there. She is physically very strong and agile, adept at both dragon riding and most medieval weaponry (though her preferred choice is the axe). No supernatural abilities here, just good old punching people in the face. As Chieftess, she’s also a natural leader. Permissions Honestly, I’m good with most anything. Astrid is afraid of very little and is not easily shaken. If you want to fight her, go for it. She loves it. Injuring/maiming is all good, though maybe give me a heads up if killing is in the plan, as she’ll be trying to avoid it (mostly to keep Hiccup from panicking too much). Sensing Astrid doesn’t have any supernatural abilities to sense, but one thing about her in game is that she is currently in the early stages of pregnancy. She won’t be going around telling people about it, and she’s not going to be changing any of her behavior, but if your character’s abilities include being able to tell such things, feel free to bring it up to her. (Please ask before bringing it up with Hiccup, though, as she hasn’t told him yet!)
